Apologetics Theology is a branch of theology, and the origin of the word is taken from the Greek word (apologia) which means defense or advocacy. This word was used in Greek to describe defenders.
Apologetics Theology is considered the science of the Bible because it addresses all matters related to Christianity, as it answers all types of questions related to Christianity and addresses all natural or metaphysical sciences.
Apologetics Theology can be defined as: the science that provides rational justification to prove the truth of the Christian faith to anyone who asks about the Christian religion or Christian doctrine in a rational way proven by evidence such as: historical, rational, geographical, religious evidence…etc.
This diploma aims to graduate people who are able to testify to the Christian faith with meekness and fear (1 Peter 3:15)
The student studies several courses (subjects) such as: the concept of God in Christianity, defenses of the Bible, defenses of the cross and redemption, comparative religions, preaching to non-believers, responding to contemporary intellectual trends, responding to atheism.
Number of study hours:
160 semester hours divided into 4 hours each meeting, once a week.
Admission requirements:
1- The applicant must have a university degree or a bachelor’s degree in theology.
2- The student must pass the personal interview.
3- The student must pass a written exam.
Course evaluation:
The course is evaluated through a written exam – research determined by the course professor – readings – attendance.
